Nick is a traveler and writer who loves visiting places off the beaten track. Most at home on a mountain with his backpack or exploring an archaeological site at sunset, his wanderlust has taken him to more than 50 countries.
An advocate of slow travel to better understand a place and its people, he's lived in dozens of cities, including those in Australia, the USA, Singapore, Mexico, Peru and Thailand. Through writing, he enjoys taking readers on a journey of discovery so they can appreciate our incredible planet and its fascinating inhabitants. |

Asides from travel writing, Nick has had a long involvement in the film industry. He directed the romantic comedy RADIO SAMURAI, produced the action thriller RAZOR EATERS, the gothic horror THE STRANGE GAME OF HYDE & SEEK, and wrote the crime thriller MODEL BEHAVIOUR. His films have premiered at opening nights of film festivals and won awards across the globe.
He has also developed scripts with Concept Entertainment USA, was a semi-finalist in the American Screenwriting Competition and runner-up in the Shriekfest L.A. Festival. |

Nick's formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in English & History, and a Master of Teaching, both from the University of Melbourne. He has taught English, Linguistics, History and Global Politics in Australia and overseas.
He recently returned home after two years adventuring through South-East Asia to focus on completing his second novel. His writing philosophy is based around creating engaging characters and placing them in unfamiliar environments through which our shared human condition can be explored. Large doses of emotion and humour are essential! |
